- NAVSUP is a command of the United States Navy. headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. NAVSUP and Navy Supply Corps team deliver logistics and support to the Navy’s global fleet and base network
- It is responsible for all of the Navy’s Enterprise Logistics Engineering. It provides information management/information technology across the Navy. This includes enterprise supply chain and customer systems support, enterprise business systems solutions and Navy information technology policy.
THE CHALLENGE:
- NAVSUP is one of the largest users of SAP (Customized For the Navy) and houses some of the most robust data volumes of any commercial or government enterprise
- Providing data management, accurate and timely reporting, advanced analytics and cyber protection of the data was of utmost importance to NAVSUP
THE SOLUTION:
- AGR architected and developed a robust business intelligence capability to support Audit Readiness, Supply Chain Management, integration and analysis of data and visualization of financials for the Navy, Office of Financial Operations (FMO)
- We provide project management and lead technical architecture efforts for the total data management plan
- We delivered the integration, upgrade and maintenance/sustainment of Navy ERP (SAP-Customized) including BOBJ, SAS, IBM Cognos, IIS, Guardium, SQL Maestro and IBM Watson (PureData)
THE RESULT:
- Improved major organizational processes through the creation of a data lake within the data architecture enabling the Navy access to centralized data
- Architected and sustain the cyber security environment around InfoSphere Information Server (IIS) to protect mission critical data
- Manage application and data recovery for NAVSUP analytical applications (SAS) including the setup and testing for data center disaster recovery ensuring timely recover of mission critical data
